System Alerts
The System Alerts section provides real-time visibility into the health and status of controllers and other system components within the AppSentinels platform. These alerts help administrators proactively monitor platform operations and respond to issues such as unreachable controllers or system anomalies.
System Alerts can be monitored at Settings → System Alerts
Alert Information
Each alert entry includes the following details:
- Created Timestamp – The date and time when the alert was generated.
- Category – Broad classification of the alert (e.g., system-alert).
- Subcategory – Specific component involved (e.g., Controller Health).
- Summary – A short description of the issue.
- Details – Additional context or debug information (e.g., controller ID, last heartbeat timestamp).
- Status – Indicates whether the alert is still Open or has been resolved.
- Severity – Indicates the criticality of the issue (e.g., Critical, Warning).
- Application – The affected application, if applicable.
- OPC Id – The unique identifier of the impacted controller or component.
Alert Filtering
To efficiently analyze alerts, you can filter them using the following criteria:
- Category
- Subcategory
- Status
- Severity
- Application
- OPC Id
- From Date / To Date – Define a time range for the alerts
Use the Search button to apply filters, or Clear Filters to reset your search parameters.
Use Case Examples
- Identify unreachable or unhealthy controllers by monitoring Controller Health alerts.
- Focus on unresolved issues by filtering for Status: Open and Severity: Critical.
- Troubleshoot specific applications using the Application filter.
