Sensor Health
The Sensor Health tab under the System Health section provides a centralized view of all sensors deployed within the organization. It enables administrators to monitor the operational status, connectivity, and logging behavior of each sensor.
Sensor Health can be monitored at System Health → Sensor Health
Overview
The Sensor Health table includes the following fields for each sensor:
- Name – Unique identifier or label of the sensor.
- Type – Sensor type (e.g., Traffic Sensor, Data Collector).
- Host Name – Host system where the sensor is deployed.
- IP Address – IP address assigned to the sensor.
- Application Domain – The associated App Domain the sensor is monitoring.
- Status – Indicates whether the sensor is currently Up or Down.
- Last Connected – Timestamp of the most recent connection from the sensor.
- Logging Mode – The logging mode currently enabled on the sensor (e.g., Full Log, Headers Only, No Log/Kill).
Filtering Options
Use the Filter button to search and refine sensor data using the following criteria:
- Type – Filter by the type of sensor.
- Instance – Specify the instance ID or name.
- Hostname – Search by the sensor’s hostname.
- Status – Filter by connection status (e.g., Up, Down).
- App Domain – Limit results to sensors tied to a specific application domain.
- Precise Match Toggle – Enable to match exact values for filters.
Use Clear Filters to reset all fields and Search to apply the selected filters.
Use Case Examples
- Identify inactive or disconnected sensors using the Status filter.
- Audit sensors tied to specific application domains for logging validation.
- Monitor real-time health status across multiple environments.
